09-04-09 Newer Nico Pics
We’ve not been very good about posting any new pictures lately, but we did take some at Nicos last agility class that turned out pretty well, as well as a picture of him sitting on top of a rock in our backyard at night that turned out pretty cool.
02-05-2009 More recent pictures
Here are a few more recent pictures of Nico. Just hanging out around the house and playing in the snow.
10-22-2008 Some newer pics
Here is a recent picture of Rachel and Nico, taken at a park right down the road from our house. This picture really makes me realize how big he has gotten already. There are also a few older pictures of Nico and his best doggie friend in the world, Lizzy. These two have a great time together – they met in puppy obedience class.
New Nico Pics!
Well, Nico is 5 1/2 months old and is turning into a fantastic dog. He is really awesome and tons of fun. Here are some new pics, at 5 months old.

Nico’s Aquadic Adventures!!
Yesterday we decided to take our 3 1/2 month old pup Nico out to a park with our friend Kristen and her dog, Dakota. Dakota loves the water and the breeder (www.chercarkennels.com) had advised that a pup usually needs to see what he is supposed to do in the water, by watching another dog that enjoys swimming and playing in the water. Needless to say, Nico had a blast, as you can see from the pictures below! There are a couple of pics of Nico in the kitchen too.
06-07-2008 Few newer Nico pics
Here are a few newer Nico pics we took while playing fetch in the yard.
He is doing really well – he is very intelligent, as well as obstinate.
He knows ’sit’, ‘down’, and ’shake’ pretty well and is learning other commands too. He’s 11 weeks old today (so 10 weeks old in the above pics), and weighted in at 23#’s at the vet this morning. He is very healthy, with the exception of round worms (which 95% of puppies and kittens get). He’s a handful at times, that’s for sure.
05-28-2008 Nico & older flower bed pictures
Well, we got Nico home.
Here are a few early pictures.
Another with Nico and Wicket, who has been keeping a close eye on Nico.
And a few pictures of our flowerbeds. We’ve since had the big rocks moved into place, but we have yet to take new pictures.
I got motivated and took a picture of the beds with the rocks in them. The lighting isn’t very good, as the sun is about to set:
04-26-2008 – Trip to Cher Car Kennels
Today, Brad & I went to Cher Car Kennels in St. John, Michigan to visit our new puppy and his parents Rush (mom) & Touche’ (dad). We hung out with the owners Cheryl & Lori and their dogs. They also let us participate in handler protection training with a German Shepherd named Santos and also with Rush (our puppy’s mom). All in all a super duper fun day!!!
To the left is a picture of Brad with, most likely, our puppy Nico. Below is me, paying the price after faking an attack on Lori, the owner of Rush. Rush is the mother of our puppy – she gave birth to 10 puppies 4 weeks ago:
We had the chance to be decoys for Rush, as well as Santos, a German Shepherd. It was pretty exciting. We’re looking forward to bringing Nico home in 4 weeks.
Here is a picture of me, having a ton of fun while being chomped on by Rush:
Here is a picture of Brad & Rush, Brad did a great job with her bite work:
We also got the opportunity, and priviledge to meet Max the German Rottweiler and his human, Dan. Max is a fully rehabilitated Rotty, he used to be really aggressive toward humans, but is now basically a 110lb. lap dog. He really took to Brad & I, so much so that when he came out of the training ring he ran over to us and plopped at our feet. Dan joked that maybe Max would be going home with us! Which would have been fine with Brad and me! Below is the Almighty Max, 110lbs of muscle, with a little sweetie-pie mixed in!!
We also both got to do bite work with Santos, a beautiful, well-balanced German Shepherd, his bites were different from Rush, but just as effective:
Here are more pics of the puppies, not just Nico:
They seem to like making puppy piles….
And last, but certainly not least, Taigan the Great – little but mighty, she rules the roost at Cher Car Kennels:
